No name, email, phone number, or password is ever collected.
No Ads or Tracking
No analytics SDK, ad network, crash reporter, or tracking ID.
Local Preferences
Favorites and settings are stored on your device only.
Introduction
Findist is a mobile application that displays real-time parking availability in Istanbul based on publicly available municipal data. This Privacy Policy describes how the app handles information when you use it on iOS or Android.
This page will be updated when the policy changes.
About Findist
Findist is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of İSPARK, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), or any other municipal authority.

Information We Do Not Collect
Findist does not collect any of the following:
- Name, email address, or phone number
- Account credentials or passwords
- Payment or financial information
- Advertising identifiers or device fingerprints
- Push notification tokens
- Behavioral profiles or usage histories
- Crash reports through Crashlytics, Sentry, or equivalent SDKs
- Analytics data through Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or equivalent SDKs
Findist does not collect your email address within the app. If you choose to contact us by email, your email address and the content of your message will be used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Location Data
Findist may request access to your device's location. Location permission is optional — the app continues to function without it, though features such as distance sorting and nearby parking suggestions will be limited.
How location is used
- To show nearby parking lots
- To estimate proximity and sort parking lots by distance
- To improve alternative parking suggestions
- When location-based features are used, your latitude and longitude may be sent to Findist's backend to calculate nearby and alternative parking results.
Location data is not stored permanently on any server. It is not linked to any user identity. No location history is recorded.
Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device:
- Your saved parking lots
- App preferences such as theme and language
- Onboarding completion status
This data is not sent to Findist's servers. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
Third-Party Services
Findist uses a small number of third-party infrastructure services to function. Each is described below.
Cloudflare — Backend & CDN
API requests are processed by a Cloudflare Worker. Cloudflare may retain standard server logs including IP addresses and request timestamps as part of its infrastructure operation. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Supabase — Database
Parking lot data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database. No personal user data is stored in Supabase. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
OpenStreetMap — Map Tiles
Map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap tile servers. Standard HTTP requests, including your IP address, are sent when loading map tiles. See OpenStreetMap's Privacy Policy.
External Navigation Apps
Findist may offer a shortcut to open a parking location in an external navigation app such as Google Maps or Apple Maps. Findist does not provide in-app navigation. Any data handled after leaving Findist is governed by the third-party app's own privacy policy.
Public Data Sources
Parking occupancy data is sourced from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Open Data Portal and public İSPARK parking feeds. This data is publicly available.
Findist is not an official product of İBB or İSPARK and does not have a formal data partnership with either organization.
Data Accuracy
Parking availability and predictions are provided for informational purposes and may not always reflect the current situation. Data may be delayed or temporarily unavailable. Findist does not guarantee the accuracy of any occupancy figure shown in the app.
Children's Privacy
Findist is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Retention
Findist does not store personal user data on its servers, so there is no user data to retain or delete server-side. Location data is processed in real time and is not persisted. Device-local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app.
Security
All communication between the app and Findist's backend is conducted over HTTPS. Because Findist does not store personal user data, the security risk associated with a data breach is minimal. No security measure can be guaranteed to be absolute.
Changes to This Policy
This page will be updated when the policy changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect when the most recent revision was made.
